cutting the crap
Ok, I've started the first pass of the culling. I'm not going to post every little detail here, but this is just to give you an idea of the kind of crap I'm getting rid of.

[info]arrl_feed - insufficiently interesting
[info]cassini_saturn - added during a flurry of "space vehicle" blogs, no new content
[info]effpress - I can read about this stuff elsewhere
[info]electoralvote - that was so last year
[info]gmail - nothing interesting happens here
[info]hubbletelescope - another space vehicle
[info]linguaphiles - high volume, lots of repeated content
[info]nucleartacoscom - no content, superseded by [info]nucleartacos
[info]opportunitygrrl - another space vehicle
[info]orkut - nothing interesting happens here
[info]sciam - can read this elsewhere, lame rss feed with headlines only
[info]space_com - I always end up skipping over this when reading my friends page
[info]spiritrover - another space vehicle
[info]star_dusting - how many space vehicles were there??
[info]voyager_at_90au - yet another space vehicle
[info]wesun_puzzle - uninteresting puzzles

As you can see, none of these are people's individual journals. Readers of this journal are unlikely to cause enough noise to be removed. But you never know, I might get ruthless.
What the heck is up with the talking space vehicles? :)
Beats me, they seemed amusing at the time.
it's like the talking car journal
Isn't posting to LJ about your LJ addiction similar to having an AA meeting at a bar?
Sort of. It's more like an alcoholic trying to stop drinking by being a bartender or a brewmaster.
and hows that workin? ;)
It's hard to brew with a broken leg.
