Barcelona is a big city with a ton of stuff to see. One of the highlights is the work of the architect Antoni Gaudi. His work appears throughout the city, and I have pictures from the Parc Güell, Sagrada Familia, and the Palau Güell.

Inside the Barcelona Cathedral, this fountain was a little patch of green in a mostly stone world. | This was just the first of many examples of mistranslations into English. | Barcelona harbour by night. |
From the top of the Mirador de Colom (Columbus Monument), there are some good views of the city. This is looking toward Montjuïc. | From the Mirador de Colom looking up Las Ramblas toward Plaça Catalunya. | From the Mirador de Colom looking along the waterfront toward the northeast. |
The naval building. | Barcelona extends as far as it can until it reaches the hills. | Barcelona's industrial port area. |
Part of the Olympic Plaza and the Olympic torch in the background (the summer Olympics were held in Barcelona in 1992). | This was a meal we had for two. There were lobster (two kinds), clams (two kinds), shrimp, prawns, mussels, and sea snails. We finished it all! | The outside of the Palau Musicá. Unfortunately, they did not allow photography of any kind inside. |
This is me with a Canadian flag in the background. | This Ferrari Testarossa was just parked with its flashers on at the side of the road. Perhaps its owner was getting a late night ice cream. | Eggs for sale in the Mercat Boqueria. |
Canadian Cherries! | The Plaça Catalunya with a guy doing handstands. | We took a sail on this 75 foot catamaran. |
The Barcelona skyline from the ocean. | Looking up at the sails. Unfortunately, we didn't have very much wind that day. | The view out the window in the head (you can see a similar window on the other side of the boat on the right hand edge of the picture). The water really did look that blue. |
Under power on the way back into the harbour. | The Customs building with the setting sun. |
