2010 was a pretty interesting year.

• Went to Hawaii for three weeks with Amy. Didn't get to see flowing lava, but did get to swim with turtles! (Pictures coming when I get around to it, just got the underwater film roll developed a couple of weeks ago.)
• Got a cat, "Toothless". I had never had a pet before, and he's now a constant source of smiles for us (eg. staring contest, chasing bees, big yawn).
• Visited my grandmother in Canada for her 101½th birthday in a whirlwind weekend trip. She died a week before her 102nd birthday.
• Repaired a hundred year old clock, which belonged to my great-great-great-grandfather.
• Came through the 7.1 earthquake here in Christchurch with only superficial damage.
• Got a Kindle, started reading a lot more.
• Started a bathroom renovation project. Amy's doing the hard work (project management); I did the fun demolition.
• Helped Amy with a mural on our bedroom wall.
• Did an evening chocolate making class. 12 dozen chocolates is a lot!
• New open source software: HP-15C calculator simulator, rss2mobi, Chinese-English dictionary for Kindle, pyqver updated for Python 3.
